Honey and Her Little Friend Romeo

So about a week ago Rob called and said that we were going to be watching a dog for a client of his. I was a little nervous because Honey can be not so nice around other dogs, especially small ones. Honey did great!! I think that it was nice for her to have a little friend for awhile. Romeo is a Maltese and is the one on the right. Honey would walk on these bricks and Romeo would try and follow her but he would go very slow and fall off here and there. It was pretty funny to watch them together :)

I put Honey's bed out under the tree next to Romeo's kennel, but Romeo loved Honey's little bed and laid it most of the time.

Honey didn't even mind Romeo being in her bed (she really never uses it that much). Look at all their toys!

Romeo goes home tomorrow. It was fun having him and I think it was really good for Honey!! Maybe she will start to be better around other dogs :)

My garden is finally in!!

This weekend we finished my garden! Sat Bobby was so wonderful at helped my fill them with dirt. It took about 3 yards. He did most of the work, but I tried to help as much as I could. In this bed we have peppers, onions, cucumbers, cantaloupe, and sugar snap peas!

So in this bed I have tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, green beans, and more sugar snap peas!!

I just love them! I can't wait till they are actually producing! Thanks to everyone who helped me with them. You will be getting some of the produce for sure :)

Raised Garden Beds

Last weekend Joe and Dutch came over and helped me build these raised beds form my garden. I was so very grateful for there help!! They are wonderful brothers to come and help me do this on a Sat. We got most of it done on Sat. except the finishing edge around the one closest to dad. So dad and dutch came over today and helped me finish them! Dad really helped me fix them cuz they were a little screwy :) He made them perfectly straight. Thanks again guys for helping you will be getting lots of fresh veggies this summer :)

Peyton's Birthday Party!!

First of all a huge thanks to Michelle who made up all of the clues the day she was going into the hospital!! You were a huge lifesaver! Love ya:) So we finally were finally able to have Peyton's party. She had a meet every weekend until last weekend. Anyway she decided that she wanted to have a scavenger hunt. Since we live in Portland there was no way that I could plan a scavenger hunt outside. So we decided to do it at the mall. It was so much fun!! I think that kids a really good time. After the scavenger hunt we went to Godfather's and had pizza and did her cake and presents.

Rob was not all that excited about being in charge of the boys team during the scavenger hunt, but I think that he had fun.

This was the girls last clue they had to take a picture of themselves on the escalator.

Both the girls and boys team had the same clues just in different orders. So this is the clue where they had to pretend to be mannequins and see how people reacted.

On this clue they were supposed to get a sticker from Zumiez but they had ran out so we just took a picture out front.

So at Auntie Annies the had to get all twisted up and get a pic.

At Hot Dog on a Stick they just need to get a ketchup packet, but we wanted to take a pic anyway :)

Ok so on this one I found out that Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory sells chocolate covered bugs, not candy bugs but real bugs!! So they had to go there and one of the team members had to eat a bug. We were supposed to video tape it, but I couldn't figure out how to work they camera I was using, so I got a pic. It was so hilarious :)

Since Peyton and I are obsessed with Twilight and the DVD came out the day of her party we decide that one of the clues would be to find Edward and kiss him on the cheek. Peyton wasn't tall enough to reach the one that was standing up :)

They had to go into JC Penny's and find a crazy out fit and put it on. This is what they choose.

Ok so they were supposed to find a sexy mannequin and kiss it on the cheek. So do you know how hard it is to find any mannequin that has a head!!! So they aren't very sexy but they had to work.

New Beginnings

As many of you know Peyton turned 12 on March 3. So she is now a Young Women!! YIKES!! New Beginnings was 2 days after her birthday. So I was supposed to write this 2-3 page paper about her life. So that should be pretty easy but it was really hard for me for some reason. I would of much rather made a video or slide show presentation. Anyway it turned out pretty good. I can't believe that she is in Young Womens!!

This is the other new Beehive. Her name is Shelby. But she doesn't come in until the end of next month. Before Peyton our ward hadn't had a new Beehive for almost 2 years, and after Shelby they won't have another one for about 1 1/2 years. Pretty Crazy.

Peyton has such good friends. We are really proud of her for the friends that she has chosen. We found out at parent teacher conferences that her teachers agree with us. They both said that they are so happy to have her in class and that the friends that she has are really good kids. They also told us that she makes everyone feel welcome and never complains. Now we just need to get her to do that at home :)

We went bowling and out for ice cream. We found out that Brent is a really good bowler. The guy in the lane next to us was fascinated by him and really wanted him to join a league. It was kinda creepy.

Ok so Kirstin came over to spend the night and Rob and I kept hearing them giggling and running into the bathroom. They cam into the living room and said they had something to show us. Well this is what they were doing! That is marker all over there face!! Pretty Crazy girls but they were having so much fun:)

They had Crazy Hair Day at school earlier this month. Kaitlyn and Peyton had this great plan that Kaitlyn would come over to our house at 5 AM to get there hair ready. Well that didn't happen. We told them that 6:30 would be plenty of time for them to get ready. So Kaitlyn came over and they had a great time getting each other ready. There hair turned out great. There main concern was be crazy but still looking cute :)

Orchestra Performance

So Peyton had another orchestra performance. I will be happy when she is done with orchestra. That bass is such a pain. It is just so huge! And she is really over being in orchestra. Next year we will not be doing this :)

So I was finally able to download her playing her massive bass. I only recorded a little bit of the song. I think that was the problem last time. Anyway I hope you enjoy :)

Bobby's Dad (Bill) finally comes to visit!!!!!

Well Bill finally came to visit us!! We have been trying to get him up here forever. We had such a great time!! Can't wait to get him up here again soon!!!

Rob, Bill, and the envelope! That little envelope gave Bill a bit of grief. He had all of his money in that little envelope. After being here a couple days he couldn't find it and he had no idea where he had it last. Needless to say he was freaking out! That is pretty much all he could think about for 3 days. Well he finally found it. He had shoved it up into the sleeve of his coat so it wouldn't get lost :)

While we were in Vegas we went to Dutch's apartment and chilled out and he played guitar for us. It was really fun!

Finally learning to ride a bike!!

Yes Peyton has never learned to ride a bike, and has totally refused to learn until about 3 or 4 months ago. When she was about 5 I moved her training wheels up just a little bit so the bike would wobble a little, well she totally freaked and has had no desire to learn since. I'm sure your wondering what changed her mind...well she saw this little boy riding one of those tiny motorcylce things, anyway she thought he looked really silly and started making fun of him. So I told her well at least he can ride a bike!! Anyway that is what did it!!

Uncle Scott helping her. She like him helping her the best. She really likes to lean to her side so she struggled with her balance. I know that is crazy!! We are talking about a girls who tumbles around on a 4 inch beam! Anyway when the weather gets a little better her she can start trying again.

Luke and Darla gave Peyton the massive stocking stuffed with a bunch of stuff to have a party. She loved it!

We couldn't forget lil honey dog! She got some dog treats, bones and a few new toys.

The Dutch Mafia Crew! Dad bought them all Dutch Mafia hoodies. They look so good!

Of course we had to do our annual Bellagio trip. It always looks so beautiful.

Rob has his eyes closed once again. It seems to be very hard to get a picture of him with his eyes opened. I still think that it is pretty good.

This was the first time that we were able to see Abagail since she was born. She is so adorable! It really makes me think back to when Peyton was a baby.

Snow in Vegas!!!

So Tues. when I picked up Peyton from school she informed me that she had an orchestra performance that night and that I needed to bring her bass to the concert! Seriously can you believe that!! I couldn't believe that she hadn't told me about it!! All I could say is "You have WHAT tonight!" over and over. I had 3 clients that night that I had to cancel and was now trying to call everyone to let them know she was performing if they wanted to come. I looked so stupid with this huge bass in the car. I should have taken a picture but I didn't think of it. She did really good and despite how crazy it was it all turned out fine.
This is her friend Laurel. She plays the violin really good!! She also does gymnastics with Peyton.

Peyton at STATE!!!!!

Most of you know that Peyton had State this weekend. We were so proud of her. They took the top 140 girls in the state. So were just excited that she made it. Anyway her meet was on Saturday. She did so good!! She got her best all around score. She had a few problems but did an amazing job and we couldn't be more proud of her. In this picture is her coach and a couple of her team mates.
Peyton took 5th on Floor, 12th on Vault and Bars, and was 13th all around. There were 25 teams there with a total of 300 girls. So that is pretty good for her first year at this level. Most of the girls that scored higher than her have been at that level for 3 seasons.

Most of you haven't ever seen Peyton do any of her events so I thought I would post them on here. This is her Bar routine. She has really come far on her bars. She had developed a lot of bad habits and learned how to do some of the skills wrong so in just a few months she has had to relearn a lot. So with all of that I am pretty proud of her bar routine.

Peyton has a beautiful beam routine. She had a few little mistakes and fell on her cartwheel (which she never does) but overall it was really good.

In my opinion Peyton floor routine is amazing!! I love to watch her on the floor.

The FEAST!!!

Thnaksgiving was great!! Everything was perfect! Rob's mom and boyfriend Charlie came down from Bend. I'm so glad that they live so close now that we can get together. After Joe played in the Turkey Bowl with Rob he cam over with Nyckie and Jadyn. Dad and Theresa cam over around noon. I am so lucky to have family that lives close by. We had such a great time. Joe and Nucke left around 1:00 to go up to her parents for dinner. As you can see we had a wonderful FEAST!

Everone digging in to all the luscious food. Thanks everyone for all your help preparing the food and bring stuff for it. It was all so very good!!

Charlie got into Peyton's tutu from Barbie's wedding. I had to get a picture. :)

The Famous Turkey Bowl!!!

Rob plays in a Turkey Bowl every Thanksgiving! Peyton goes with him every year! While they go to the Turkey Bowl I go to the gym. It is way to cold for me to sit out there. This year I had Peyton take pictures. She also took some video. She did a great job!!! So this is the winning team!! Rob is on it of course. His always has to win :)

There were a few injuries!! Nate's earring somehow got torn out of his ear!! I'm telling yeah these boys are crazy, but they love it!!!

Day of Twilight!!!!

We loved Twilight so much we decided to make a day out of it and visit some of the sites where the movie was filmed. It was so cool cuz the had a huge party on Thurs and Friday evening and had set it up the same way it was when they filmed it. We didn't go to the party, but I think it was even better cuz we didn't have to deal with a ton of people and we got to do and see everything that all of the people that went to the party but we didn't have to spen $50!! What a great deal!!! Look below to see our ADVENTURE :)

My mom, Peyton and I all went to the midnight show for Twilight!!! We had such a good time and mom stayed up for the whole show!! We loved it!! It was AMAZING! Anyway after we got some sleep we made reservations to have lunch at the place where the filmed the prom scene!!! I know so cool!! So this is us at the View Point Inn. They had a huge party up there for the opening of the show so everything was set up just how it was when they filmed it.The prom had a Monte-Carlo theme. This is where Edward and Bella walked through and had there picture taken!!

In the movie this is where Edward and Bella got there picture taken when they first arrived at the prom.

Outside they have a brick walkway where they walked to go dancing. On the bricks are the names of the characters.

Ok for all who have seen the movie the very last scene where Victoria is looking through the window watching Edward and Bella dance. This is the window where they filmed that! And see the curtain...Mom bought some of that fabric. Very cool!!

And this is where they filmed the dancing outside scenes. We had such a great time!! We can't wait to see the movie a trillion times over :)

Twilight Opens Nov. 21st!!!! Horray!!!

Peyton had to do a book report and a project to go along with it. She decided that she wanted to make a movie trailer!!! So Darla and I helped her make it. Since the theme of our website is Twilight this month I thought I should put it on. She did so great and her teacher loved it!! Said it was the best project she has ever seen!! It is a little grainy but oh well it looks awesome on the tv! Enjoy!!!

Peyton was a pirate!! Doesn't she look awesome! I just love this picture. It was pretty windy and as I was taking the picture a big gust blew and it made her skirt go flying!!

This is some of Peyton's best friends! They all went trick or treating together. This is the first year we let her go with out us! Actually we ended up meeting up with them a little while later. :)

They had so much fun!! If any of you have seen Peyton's movie trailer you might recognize the kid in the white. That is Tyler and her other friend is Alex. I will be posting Peyton's movie trailer as soon as Darla sends it to me!!

This house was so cool! We got there a little late, but earlier they had a guy dressed up as a goblin and the whole inside of there garage was a haunted garage. But there motorcycle was pretty awesome looking so I had to get a picture.

Soldiers National Monument. This is on the hill that changed everything in the civil war. Had the Union not have stationed no this hill turning the battle in there favor who knows where things would be today. It was an amazing feeling being on that field.

I loved Philly!! This is out in front of Independence Hall. It was so fun seeing all the sights in National Treasure :)

I think that this was one of the coolest things! This is called Signers Park. It is right nest to Independence Hall. It is to honor all the signers of the Declaration of Independence. That statue is of George Clymer! That would be our relative who signed both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution!! How cool is that!

They lost 6 men in 9/11. This is a memorial to those men.

Ok Peyton and I absolutely loved this diner. It is called Stardust. All of the waitresses and waiters sing to you while you eat. It was so fun. Most of them have been in off Broadway shows. They might even be singing while they serve you your food. I could see Luke working here!

That is 24k gold. There were a lot of buildings decorated in gold. They were built during the golden era when people had nothing better to do with there money then decorate there house with it.

State Capitol. We didn't have time to go inside, so I will just have to do it next time!
Union Station was huge I couldn't believe it. This is another one we didn't have time to go inside, but the outside was awesome.
This is Ford's Theatre. It is was closed because the are remodling. Just another reason why we got to go back!
This is where the brought Abraham Lincoln after he was shot. It is right across the street from the theatre. This is where he actually died.

The Changing of the Guards and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This was one of my most favorite things.
JFK gravesite with the eternal flame inside Arlington National Cemetary
Arlington National Cemetary. It was an amazing site to see all of the white tomb stones going on forever it seemed like.

Natural History Museum Washington, DC

This museum is huge! We were here for 3 hrs. This is the first thing you see when you walk in. It was awesome!!
The dinosaurs were so cool so I have a lot of pictures. Enjoy

This was our first day in DC. Peyton and I walked down to the

White House!! It was so cool!

I'm not sure what this was, but while we were walking to the White House we saw it and it looked cool so I took a picture. Plus I like this one of Peyton :)

This is the National Cathedral. It is a church for the nation and welcomes all religions. It was a dream of George Washington to have a national church. President Theodore Rosevelt spoke here and it is where Martin Luther King Jr gave his last sermon. This is also where Ronald Regan had his state funeral. It is such a beatuiful place. The Smithsonian Castle. The gardens in here were amazing.
